Varun Rajput - Founder and Guitar Player of Hindi Rock Band Antariksh Live on Music Mojo Kappa TV Season 4

The moment we first came across some really high quality videos and amazing songs of Thaikkudam Bridge on Music Mojo (A music based TV series similar to Coke Studio) on Kappa TV, we knew that we wanted to go down to Trivandrum and play there. Even before we share our experience recording and shooting for the episode, we’d like to thank Aum i Artists and Kappa TV for featuring us. The moment we were invited to record for an episode for Music Mojo Season 4, we knew that this would definitely be one of the highlights of the year. Super prepared, yet nervous – we flew down to the beautiful…

Antariksh – Aur: Guitar solo play through by Varun Rajput

Varun Rajput from Antariksh

They say a progressive rock song is never complete without a huge-ass guitar solo – guess what, they aren’t completely wrong. Guitar players and musicians who’ve grown up listening to some mainstream prog-rock music just can’t get enough of long, intricate solo sections. While composing one of the heaviest and possibly the darkest and most intense sounding song on the album, we knew that it totally deserved an epic sounding guitar solo section building up into the heavy chorus. And the way it eventually turned out, it has indeed become one of our favourite solo sections from the entire album. Revisiting the song from our 2013 debut album, ‘Khoj’, our guitar player, Varun Rajput…

Antariksh Featured in Gurgaon Times

Antariksh and Varun Rajput's interview featured in Gurgaon Times

Hello there folks! Check out this awesome feature and an interview of our guitar player Varun Rajput on the front page of Gurgaon Times. Here’s what feature says: Twenty nine-year old Varun Rajput looks like your average corporate guy. Working as a Chief Marketing Officer at tech startup; he starts his day at 7am, puts his business suit on and gets to work and gets to work at 9pm sharp. Calling it a day at 6pm, an exhausted Varun leaves his Udyog Vihar office… and that’s where his life differs from the regular corporate guy. Unlike his peers, he doesn’t head to a bar to unwind over a beer or…

Hi guys! Hope it’s going great. It’s been going absolutely crazy for us, and we’ve had a truly amazing time playing so many gigs and concerts across the country over the last 10 months. Finally, after a long time on road, we are back to composing and writing new material for our 2nd album and it’s already getting exciting. However, before we do that let’s re-visit some of the songs from the first album which we believe changed our lives, entirely. Some of you who’ve known us right from the start might remember this very first song and video release back in January 2013 – the song that literally kick-started the band,…

Hindi Rock Song, Aisa Hi Hota Hai - Free Download

Hello everyone! Hope ya’ll are staying tight and hydrated through the sweltering summer To cool it up a bit, we’ve decided to put out out another one of our songs, ‘Aisa Hi Hota Hai’ for a free download for all you awesome guys. For those of you who don’t know, it’s a jumpy, groovy, up-tempo Hindi Rock song from our debut album, ‘Khoj’. The song is a satirical take on our political scenario, and an ode to Murphy’s law. There are times in life when all the odds seem against us, and everything that can go wrong, does go wrong! But then, there’s always a light at the end of the…

Antariksh – Tum Lyrics

Antariksh - Tum Lyrics

Tum is a song which can mean different things to different people. For some it may be a love ballad, for some – a song about almighty – it actually is a song about self-realization. A realization of the very fact that the all the answers that one may seek, lie within. Tum was released on August 23, 2013 a couple of weeks before the release of their debut labum, Khoj. The song also features an absolutely incredible face melting guitar solo by one of India’s finest guitar players and master of carnatic solos, Baiju Dharmajan. If you haven’t yet heard the song, you’ve got to check it out: Antariksh – Tum…

Hindi Rock Song, Aisa Hi Hota Hai - Free Download

There’s no better feeling for a band than to know that their music is being appreciated and enjoyed by the people. Our elation is multiple folds for we believe we’re successfully managing to popularize a completely new genre of music, Progressive Hindi Rock. We are one of the first progressive Hindi rock band in India – by that statement, what we essentially mean is that we’re one of the first bands who has dared to bring western prog-rock music (the likes of Rush, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Pain of Salvation) to Hindi songs. All of us in the band have been huge fans and have played progressive rock music with various…
