Varun Rajput from Antariksh Live at Youth Festival 2014

So people, New year’s already here. We are immensely proud to have completed another successful year with a lot of hard work and tonnes of support from all you amazing people. 2014 has been a total roller coaster for us, and we can easily say that it’s been our best year so far! From traveling across the country to writing new tunes, from getting nominated for VIMA Asia Awards to getting featured as one of the best Hindi Rock bands by MTV; from rehearsing each song 1,000 times to making hilarious mistakes on stage, and from meeting tons of fans to some of the closest band members moving on to different things –…

Na Jaane Kyun – Official Music Video Released

Na Jaane Kyun Music Video

It’s been quite some time and we’re a little late in sharing this on the website – nevertheless, in case you didn’t find out through our other communication channels, the band released another self-produced music video for our song, ‘Na Jaane Kyun’. ‘Na Jaane Kyun’, from our first album, ‘Khoj’ talks about the constant tussle that we face within our lives trying to make choices or take big decisions that define our future. Our experiences have taught us that it’s very tough to try and persist doing things that you love – especially when those things that are not mainstream (which inevitably is always the case.Ha!). There are a million…

Vande Mataram (Rock Version) Live at IIM Rohtak

Hindi Rock Song Na Jaane Free Download

As we’ve said many a times – we just love covering songs that have a huge and wide rock chorus. Looking for a new song to cover and after going through a bunch of songs, we decided to pick up the beautiful, patriotic, and the ever-so-legendary-tune, ‘Vande Mataram’, and created our own version of the song. Although, still a WIP piece, we thought of playing the song live to gauge audience’s response, and we need not even say how fantastic it was. Here’s us playing for the first time, our rendition of the popular AR Rahman tune, ‘Vande Mataram’ at IIM Rohtak’s Pro Nite: Vande Mataram (Rock Version) by Antariksh…

Dil Chahta Hai Rock Version Live at IIM Rohtak

2014, so far has certainly been a fantastic year for us. Of all the gigs we played in January, the ones at TEDx SGGSCC, IIM Rohtak, and IIIT Delhi have been the most amazing ones. And one song that undoubtedly makes the audience go crazy at every concert is our version of Dil Chahta Hai (Title Track). A groovy song with a really wide chorus, nice chords, groovy bass lines, and an edgy, bluesy solo, if we were to define the genre, ‘Hindi Rock’ in one song, Dil Chahta Hai would be that song. Here’s a live video of our version of Dil Chahta Hai from one of our gigs…

Hello everyone! Hope ya’ll are staying tight and hydrated through the sweltering summer 🙂 To cool it up a bit, we’ve decided to put out out another one of our songs, ‘Aisa Hi Hota Hai’ for a free download for all you awesome guys. For those of you who don’t know, it’s a jumpy, groovy, up-tempo Hindi Rock song from our debut album, ‘Khoj’. The song is a satirical take on our political scenario, and an ode to Murphy’s law. There are times in life when all the odds seem against us, and everything that can go wrong, does go wrong! But then, there’s always a light at the end of…

Antariksh - Tum Lyrics

Tum is a song which can mean different things to different people. For some it may be a love ballad, for some – a song about almighty – it actually is a song about self-realization. The song also features an absolutely incredible face melting guitar solo by one of India’s finest guitar players and master of carnatic solos, Baiju Dharmajan. Escape Countdown Festival Review

What could have been a better end to the year 2013 than playing at a amazingly organized Escape Countdown Festival. A build up to the popular Escape Festival, Countdown was no less. Organized at the sprawling Tarudhan Valley Golf Resorts in Manesar (just about a 20 minute drive from Gurgaon Toll), three stages were set for the carnival – Skinner Stage (Rock/Blues/Jazz), Vibe Stage (Electronic and Dance Music), and Boiler Stage. Prateek Kuhad First up on the Skinner Stage was Prateek Kuhad, a singer-songwriter from New Delhi. Why Hindi Rock? The Nation Wants To Know :P

Antariksh - Khoj

We’ve been asked this question umpteen number of times by various friends and people who’ve heard our music (thankfully not by Arnab Goswami :P), attended our gigs, and those who’ve been following our music since our early years. Each time this question pops up, it takes us back a few years to the time when we were belting out progressive, heavy western rock/metal tunes with our previous bands – Prestorika, Feedback, Under Siege, and Decibel. The kind of bands we’d cover would include Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Skid Row, Van Halen and the likes. So, very naturally a lot of people were surprised and had questions – how come Hindi…
