Antariksh Live at Music Mojo Season 4 on Kappa TV

Varun Rajput - Founder and Guitar Player of Hindi Rock Band Antariksh Live on Music Mojo Kappa TV Season 4

The moment we first came across some really high quality videos and amazing songs of Thaikkudam Bridge on Music Mojo (A music based TV series similar to Coke Studio) on Kappa TV, we knew that we wanted to go down to Trivandrum and play there. Even before we share our experience recording and shooting for the episode, we’d like to thank Aum i Artists and Kappa TV for featuring us. The moment we were invited to record for an episode for Music Mojo Season 4, we knew that this would definitely be one of the highlights of the year. Super prepared, yet nervous – we flew down to the beautiful…

Antariksh - Dheere Dheere

Hi guys! Hope it’s going great. It’s been going absolutely crazy for us, and we’ve had a truly amazing time playing so many gigs and concerts across the country over the last 10 months. Finally, after a long time on road, we are back to composing and writing new material for our 2nd album and it’s already getting exciting. However, before we do that let’s re-visit some of the songs from the first album which we believe changed our lives, entirely. Some of you who’ve known us right from the start might remember this very first song and video release back in January 2013 – the song that literally kick-started the band,…

Escape Countdown Festival Review

VK 1

What could have been a better end to the year 2013 than playing at a amazingly organized Escape Countdown Festival. A build up to the popular Escape Festival, Countdown was no less. Organized at the sprawling Tarudhan Valley Golf Resorts in Manesar (just about a 20 minute drive from Gurgaon Toll), three stages were set for the carnival – Skinner Stage (Rock/Blues/Jazz), Vibe Stage (Electronic and Dance Music), and Boiler Stage. Prateek Kuhad First up on the Skinner Stage was Prateek Kuhad, a singer-songwriter from New Delhi. ‘Khoj’, Antariksh’s Debut Album Reviewed on Popsplat

Picture6

“The super band of sorts releases musical roller coaster, featuring music prodigies including Baiju Dharmajan.” Those are some really flattering opening lines for an album review – if you’re a band member who has worked really hard over years to produce an album, you’d be reading such a review with a wide smile on your face. Post the release of our album, ‘Khoj’ we sent out a few copies to some music magazines, senior musicians and other media people and Popsplat, happened to be the first one to review it, rating it 4 on 5. Here’s where you can read the review: http://popsplat.in/2013/10/24/music-review-khoj-antariksh/ It’s so interesting that every person who hears…

Why Hindi Rock? The Nation Wants To Know :P

Screen shot 2013-08-28 at 12.59.41 AM

We’ve been asked this question umpteen number of times by various friends and people who’ve heard our music (thankfully not by Arnab Goswami :P), attended our gigs, and those who’ve been following our music since our early years. Each time this question pops up, it takes us back a few years to the time when we were belting out progressive, heavy western rock/metal tunes with our previous bands – Prestorika, Feedback, Under Siege, and Decibel. The kind of bands we’d cover would include Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Skid Row, Van Halen and the likes. So, very naturally a lot of people were surprised and had questions – how come Hindi…

Antariksh’s debut album, Khoj’s cover artwork explained!

Hindi Rock Song, Aisa Hi Hota Hai - Free Download

How important is an album cover? This was the first question we asked ourselves before we started thinking of ideas for our album cover. The obvious answer was “very”. Although it’s always recommended to not judge a book by its cover, we humans, do have a natural tendency to do so. Especially, when we do not have enough information/opinion on something, we do tend make our choices on the basis of what meets the eye. All of us in the band are firm believers of the fact that there has to be some concept, some logic, or some meaning behind every piece of music we create, lyrics we write, or…

Antariksh – Dheere Dheere Lyrics

We’ve been getting a lot of requests to post the lyrics for our first released single, Dheere Dheere, so we thought, now would be the best time to do this as we get closer to the release of our debut album, ‘Khoj’. We feel absolutely ecstatic about the fact that our audience and fans are wanting to know more about the songs we’ve written. In fact, we’ve been completely humbled by the notes we’ve received from people mentioning that how the lyrics of the song resonate with the stories of their lives. It means a lot to us to know that we have been able to transcend the emotion of…
