Dil Chahta Hai Rock Version Live at IIM Rohtak

2014, so far has certainly been a fantastic year for us. Of all the gigs we played in January, the ones at TEDx SGGSCC, IIM Rohtak, and IIIT Delhi have been the most amazing ones. And one song that undoubtedly makes the audience go crazy at every concert is our version of Dil Chahta Hai (Title Track). A groovy song with a really wide chorus, nice chords, groovy bass lines, and an edgy, bluesy solo, if we were to define the genre, ‘Hindi Rock’ in one song, Dil Chahta Hai would be that song. Here’s a live video of our version of Dil Chahta Hai from one of our gigs…

Hope ya’ll are staying tight and hydrated through the sweltering summer To cool it up a bit, we’ve decided to put out out another one of our songs, ‘Aisa Hi Hota Hai’ for a free download for all you awesome guys. For those of you who don’t know, it’s a jumpy, groovy, up-tempo Hindi Rock song from our debut album, ‘Khoj’. The song is a satirical take on our political scenario, and an ode to Murphy’s law. There are times in life when all the odds seem against us, and everything that can go wrong, does go wrong! But then, there’s always a light at the end of the…

AAP effect and Tour Diaries: A surprisingly pleasant incident on our way to a show at IIM Rohtak

Let us tell you about a really funny and a surprisingly pleasant incident that happened a few days ago. Comfortably seated in a cab, on a pleasant winter afternoon, were headed to IIM Rohtak to play at gig their Pro Night event on January 19th. Somewhere near Bahadurgarh, a few cops dressed in Khakhis signalled our driver to stop the cab. We were a little surprised as the driver had committed no offense. We were not speeding, we had our seat belts – nothing was out of place. We asked the driver, “kya hua bhaiyya” and he was like “kuch nahi sir, 100-50 rupaye lene hain inko”. No surprises, the cops started…

Saari Raat Noori Cover by Antariksh at Blue Frog

Antariksh Live at Blue Frog

Noori’s coke studio version of Saari Raat undoubtedly has to be our favourite song from Season 2 of Coke Studio, Pakistan. When we formed the band last year and thought of picking up a song to cover, Saari Raat was indeed our very first choice. It’s a song that suits Antariksh’s edgy, progressive Hindi Rock style very well. We’ve been covering Saari Raat for almost a year now, and every single time it gets everyone grooving and an absolutely crazy response from the audience. Here’s a video of us playing our rendition of Saari Raat at our album launch gig at Blue Frog, Delhi. Saari Raat (Noori Cover) Live at…

Prateek Kuhad First up on the Skinner Stage was Prateek Kuhad, a singer-songwriter from New Delhi. Antariksh Live @Blue Frog, New Delhi

After months of composing, recording, and practicing, we finally kick-started a series of gigs in late March. What could have been better than beginning it at a venue as amazing as Blue Frog, on our guitars player, gT’s birthday, and shooting the whole concert with pro-cameras. So, on the 17th of March, we were lined up for this gig at Blue Frog, Delhi along with Baiju Dharmajan, the carnatic guitar maestro from Kochi, previously associated with one of India’s finest bands, Motherjane. Well, we got to the venue at 4 in the evening while Baiju was ripping it apart during the soundcheck, belting some amazing tunes. As soon as he finished,…
